Cindy Afanador
Born in Elmont, NY, I attended St. Vincent de Paul, and graduated from Sewanhaka High School in 1989. I attended Stenotopia Court Reporting School right out of high school. Upon graduation from Stenotopia, my career in court reporting began in 1991. I am a Certified RPR, Realtime and State Accredited. for more then 30 years of court reporting experience. I have been at the forefront of the advanced technologies of reporting. I was one of the first reporters to actively use and promote real-time reporting in the litigation setting. I have provided instant real-time transcripts since the early ’90’s on commercial, patent and pharmaceutical cases and I travel extensively into Manhattan.
I take great pride in delivering an official transcript of the spoken word during depositions. These transcripts are filed for future use, or in the case of the deposition, can even be entered into trial as evidence. There is no room for error in the work of a court reporter. I must not only be fast, but extremely accurate as well. I have been happily married for 27 years and have three wonderful children, the joys of my life, Gabriella, Aaron, and Anthony. We live on Long Island, NY, where I enjoy gardening and playing with my kids. I love cooking and creating new recipes.
Being a court reporter has been a great experience for me. I have met and worked with many wonderful people that I would not have known had I not been involved in this field. It has opened many doors and broadened my career in more ways than one can imagine.
